Offer items you're willing to lend (tools, cameras, sports gear, kitchen appliances) or browse what neighbors have available. Set your daily rate and refundable deposit.
Request & agree on terms
Send a request with your dates. The rent and deposit are held on your card (nothing's charged yet) while the owner reviews and accepts.
Hand off the item
Meet up and both confirm the handoff. If it isn't confirmed within 48 hours, the reservation expires and both holds are released.
Return & settle
Return the item and both confirm. The lender gets paid and the deposit hold is released. Documented damage can be covered from the deposit.

Escrow Protection
Stripe holds your card payment and only charges it once the work is confirmed. Borrow deposits are held separately and released after a clean return.
A flat 10% fee
Helpers and lenders pay a flat 10% platform fee on every completed task and rental. No surge pricing, no 20%+ gig-app cuts, and Plus doesn't change the fee. It just adds boost credits, the Plus badge, and recurring tasks.
Only what's near you
Tasks come from people within walking distance, so you're not scrolling past listings from the other end of the country.
Paid straight to your bank
Helpers and lenders are paid in EUR directly to their bank account through Stripe Connect Express. Once a task closes, Stripe queues the payout for you. No manual cashout to request, no minimums to hit.
Escrow on every task
When you accept a helper, Stripe holds the amount on your card and only charges it once you confirm the work is done. Borrow deposits are held the same way.
No algorithmic feed
We don't reorder tasks to keep you on the app longer. You see what's near you, what's recent, and what matches your skills.
You own your data
Export everything anytime, delete your account anytime. We don't sell anything to anyone. Your tasks, reviews and conversations belong to you.

Is HandIt! free to join?
Yes. Creating an account is free. You can browse tasks and sign up without a credit card.
How do payments work?
Tasks and rentals are paid by card via Stripe. The money is held on your card and only charged once completion is confirmed. Helpers and lenders get automatic bank payouts. Credits are separate, a bonus currency used only to boost your posts.
How do I choose the right helper?
Review profiles, recent ratings, and messages. Ask one or two clarifying questions before accepting.
What keeps tasks safe?
Verified profiles, ratings and reviews, in-app messaging, and card payments held by Stripe until the work is confirmed.
How does borrowing items work?
List items to lend or browse what's nearby. When you send a request, the rent and a deposit are held on your card. Nothing is charged while the owner decides. Confirm the handoff, then the return: the lender gets paid and the deposit is released, minus any damage or late fees.
What happens if an item isn't returned?
Borrowers are notified at 1, 3, and 7 days overdue. If the item isn't returned after 7 days, the full deposit is automatically forfeited to the lender and the borrower's account is suspended for 30 days.
Are my items protected when I lend them?
Yes. The rent is held on the borrower's card, plus a separate refundable deposit. If something's damaged, report it with photos and part of the deposit can cover it. If the item isn't returned in time, the rent and deposit go to you.
How do I get paid?
Automatically. Once a task or rental is confirmed, Stripe takes our flat 10% fee and sends the rest straight to your bank. Money usually lands about a week after the job is done, sometimes a day or two more, depending on your bank. Nothing to cash out. Just connect your account once, in Wallet → Payouts.
