Is HandIt! free to join?
Yes. Creating an account is free. You can browse tasks and sign up without a credit card.
How do credits work?
You earn credits by helping others and spend them when you need help. Credits move only when both sides confirm completion.
How do I choose the right helper?
Review profiles, recent ratings, and messages. Ask one or two clarifying questions before accepting.

How does borrowing items work?
List items you can lend or browse what neighbors have available. When a borrow request is accepted, credits are held in escrow. Both parties confirm the handoff, then confirm the return. The lender receives rental credits, and the borrower gets their deposit back minus any damage or late fees.
What happens if an item isn't returned?
Borrowers are notified at 1, 3, and 7 days overdue. If the item isn't returned after 7 days, the full deposit is automatically forfeited to the lender and the borrower's account is suspended for 30 days.
Are my items protected when I lend them?
Yes. When you lend an item, the borrower's rental fee and a refundable deposit are held in escrow. If the item is damaged, you can report damage and deduct from the deposit. If it's never returned, you receive the full deposit automatically.
Can I cash out my credits?
Yes. Once you've earned credits by helping others or lending items, you can cash them out to real money. Go to your wallet and request a cashout anytime.
