Born from frustration
It started with a simple need: finding someone to help with tasks around the house. The big gig economy apps felt cold and corporate. Asking on social media was awkward. And the people who could actually help—neighbors just a few blocks away—had no way to know I needed them.
So we built HandIt!: a platform where neighbors can easily help each other. Whether you need someone to assemble furniture, walk your dog, help with groceries, teach you a new skill, or borrow a tool for the weekend—there's probably someone nearby who can help and would love to earn something for it.
