# HandIt!

> HandIt! (https://www.handit.me) is a neighborhood task marketplace and peer-to-peer borrow/lend platform. People post everyday tasks — cleaning, moving help, repairs, assembly, tutoring, pet care, deliveries — and nearby helpers apply to complete them for an agreed price. There's also a borrow/lend feature for sharing physical items within a community. Available on iOS, Android, and the web.

## What HandIt is

HandIt connects neighbors who need a hand with trusted local helpers who want to earn money nearby. It is free to join. Payments are handled securely by card via Stripe: the buyer's payment is held in escrow when a task is accepted and released to the helper on completion, with automatic payouts to the helper's bank account. There is no in-app "credits" currency for paying helpers — all task and rental payments are real money (fiat) through Stripe.

- Two sides of a task: a poster ("need help") and a helper ("offer help").
- Borrow/lend: list an item to rent out, or request to borrow a neighbor's item, with a refundable deposit held on the borrower's card.
- Trust & safety: profile verification (email, phone, ID), ratings and reviews, in-app chat, dispute resolution, and content moderation.

## Pricing

- Joining and posting tasks is free.
- Helpers pay a flat 10% commission on completed tasks; buyers pay a 5% service fee. Both are taken automatically via Stripe.
- Optional "Plus" subscription (€2.99/month or €29/year) adds perks: monthly boost credits to promote listings, a profile badge, and priority support. ("Boost credits" only promote your own listings — they are never used to pay helpers.)
